                    Charlene Tilton
Charlene Tilton, Clietele's Celebrity Woman, is a TV Star who considers her most important role as a mother.

As a popular TV star who graced hundreds of magazine and newspaper covers,
the beautiful Charlene Tilton turned away from fame and fortune to put
motherhood ahead of her career. Known for her many roles, especially as Lucy
Ewing in the award-winning Dallas, Charlene was selected as a Clientele
Woman, because she exemplifies the sacrifices mothers make for their
children. Her love of children was so great that she named her only daughter
Cherish, ...because I wanted her to know when she got older how much I
loved and cherished her.

WHAT IT WAS LIKE AS A SINGLE MOM

"It was difficult  but rewarding.  You have to put your child first before
yourself.  I decided that I would be involved in every aspect of Cherish's
childhood, putting my life on the back burner... picking her up from school
every day and going to all the PTA meetings. Cherish came to the set of
Dallas daily.  Growing up with this solid foundation, she knew she was
most important in my life."

And what a success Charlene has been as a mother!
In the middle of the interview, Cherish called Charlene to tell her
that she loved her and would be stopping by.  Not bad for a 20 year old to
check in with her Mom, especially in LA where other distractions take the
attention off family. Now a remarkable young lady, Cherish is compassionate,
beautiful and sought after by movie studios for her dancing, singing and
acting talents.

MOTHER AND DAUGHTER

At 41, Charlene looks like Cherishıs sister. Close in age, the two act more
like friends than mother and daughter.  Both high energy, they attend dance
class together. They even adopted a one eyed dog from the Shelter. They
often volunteer for local charities & even Church activities.

Charlene's house has always been open to all of Cherish's friends.
And, of course, she wants to follow in my footsteps as an actress and singer",
says Charlene. She has an incredible voice.  I'd take the credit, but her father
was Johnny Lee, country singer of 'Lookin' for Love in all the Wrong Places'
and composer for 'Urban Cowboy'.  When he left, I became a single Mom with
the total responsibility of raising Cherish.  Now that Cherish is grown,
I wouldn't mind adopting a child, but I wouldn't want to experience the angst
of being a single Mother again. One day, I might meet a nice man who might
want to adopt more children with me...for now, it's time to resume my career.
