ABOUT
DALLAS
"I was lucky to be so successful early in my career. I
worked 11 years on
Dallas. Besides being a great working experience, "
Charlene recalls," the
show was a lot of fun, too. We were like a real family.
In fact, I loved
working on Dallas so much that I worked until the day I
delivered Cherish
and returned just four days later."
GROWING UP IN LA
Born and raised in LA, Charlene began taking singing and
dancing lessons and
performing in plays. She started working professionally
and got herself an
agent before she turned 17, when she was hired for Dallas.
Asked what it was
like to grow up in Hollywood, Charlene recalls many classmates
who became
famous in the movie biz. One of them, Frank Daradont,
directed "The Green
Mile" and "The Shawshank Redemption"
and wrote "The Majestics."
On Saturdays, she & Frank recall their youth during
breakfast. Says Charlene, "We're still all very
close. It seems that those special 5-6 intimate friends
made
in school form a deep, integral part of your life that lasts a
lifetime. It's more difficult to get that closeness with new
people you meet when you're older."
WHAT¹S IMPORTANT
Charlene exemplifies what motherhood means today...(replacing
what¹s most
important to you, for what should be most important) - the
success, welfare
and happiness of your child. Battling the odds of being
a single mother
with a challenging career, Charlene considers motherhood,
aside from acting,
to be her greatest success. Her daughter Cherish has been
raised to be "a
good, caring & compassionate person."
Like Charlene Tilton, Mothers throughout the centuries have
made great sacrifices to give their children hope for a better
future. As role models, they hold the power to pass on values
of what is right, what is good & ultimately to change the
world and make it a better place. Clientele Woman proudly
salutes Charlene Tilton plus all women and Mothers who have
had a positive influence on our lives. |
